anyconcept is a research company building a world model for software interfaces. Founded in Graz, Austria in 2020.
Starting from reinforcement learning agents operating within the environment of an operating system, the founding team began this work long before the term computer use agent existed.
Every user interface automation vendor claimed no code. Every project needed a developer. Leander saw this firsthand during six years implementing process automation at one of Austria's largest banks. At scale, the maintenance burden consumed the teams meant to benefit from it.
Manuel had spent years researching AI from first principles. The question they asked together was simple: what if automation worked the way a human works? Not through code, selectors, or language. Through pixels, mouse, and keyboard.
That question became anyconcept.

anyconcept is a team of eight people based in Graz, Austria. Among them: one of the first fifty engineers at Tricentis, a growth operator from Storebox and Nuki, and an AI researcher who ran his own company and led projects with BMW. Supported by a dedicated data annotation team.

anyconcept has received research grants from austria wirtschaftsservice (aws) and FFG, support from Google for Startups, and is part of AI Factory Austria an EU initiative providing access to European high performance compute via EuroHPC. anyconcept uses the LEONARDO supercomputer in Bologna for model training. We are also part of the Science Park Graz and AI Austria ecosystems.
